1. Purpose of the tool
The Corner Tool is designed to facilitate the creation and management of corner arrangements in scaffold modeling. Key features include:
- Enhanced Functionality: The tool has been refactored to add extra bays on two perimeters without altering the entire perimeter for each line, improving efficiency in modeling.
- User-Friendly Interface: It provides an intuitive interface that allows users to easily create and modify corner arrangements, ensuring that the scaffold design meets specific project requirements.
- Inner and Outer Corner Arrangements: The tool supports multiple options for both inner and outer corner arrangements, allowing users to select the most suitable configuration for their specific needs.
2. User Interface overview.
The tool is located on the ScaffPlan Toolbar

To open the tool menu please double click on the tool.
The tool contains following features:

Corner arrangements refer to a specific configuration, these set of parameters allow users to create very specific corner arrangements for scaffolding for both Outer and Inner options.
- Type 1 – Perfect corner: This will create an exact corner bay based on the width of the scaffold boards butt together without the need to overlap, this will also adjust adjacent bays and add additional lapping bays where required
- Type 2 – Adjust corner bays: Bays will be shortened and lengthened to accommodate the corners creation, the order in which the bays are selected determine which bay are extended and shortened with the first pick being the priority. Again lapping bays will automatically be created where bay are moved apart from each other
- Type 3 – Adjust corner bays without corner standard: As type 2 but the inner standard removes and the inner ledger from priority bay 1 is used as a support for the perpendicular by and deck
- Type 4 – Lapping bay at corner: This option creates a fly past corner and additional overlapping deck/board elements are created to fill the gaps between the bays, the order in which the bays are picked again determines which bay passes the other (Only available for outer corners)

Lapping Bay Rules
- Bays must be perpendicular
- Picking order of bays (first and second picked) determines the order on how the corner is generated (first pick is priority element)
Lapping bay configuration Allows users to effectively manage and customize the lapping bays in scaffolding designs users can insert lapping bays at inner corners for two perpendicular bays. This feature is available when the Outer Guardrail option is set to "Tube (at corners)" at a corner bay.
- Lapping plank length: the system can automatically adjust settings for lapping bays, making it easier to manage configurations without manual input or you can manually select from 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.5m
- Lapping plank width: this is a set value by default of either 0.3m/0.2m and select the appropriate width mased on the bay to be placed onto. This can be overridden to force a single value of 0.2m or 0.3m if required.
- Tube Length: the system allows for adjustments to tube lengths, ensuring that the components fit correctly within the lapping bay structure again this can be automatically assigned or manually overridden with values ranging from 0.3m to 6.0m
- Creation of bottom inner tube: this provides additional structural support using the aforementioned parameters to the inner standards at deck level selected during the Lapping Bay creation.
