1. Purpose of the tool

The Scaffold Item Tool is a feature designed to enhance the efficiency of scaffold modeling. It allows to create, modify, and manage scaffold components with precision. Key functionalities include:

  • User Interface: The tool provides an intuitive interface that enables users to easily navigate and utilize various commands for scaffold component creation and modification.
  • Component Management: Users can insert and change scaffold components based on their start or end points, ensuring flexibility in design.
  • Mini Toolbar: The tool includes a mini toolbar that offers commands for opening the tool menu, show snapping points, show start and end points and pinning the toolbar to a location on the screen.

2. Limitation: Ungrouping ScaffPlan Items

Ungrouping a ScaffPlan Item converts it into standard geometry and permanently removes its ScaffPlan metadata.

Once ungrouped, the item is no longer recognised or managed by ScaffPlan.

It will not appear in Gear Lists, reports, or other ScaffPlan-generated outputs.

To prevent accidental data loss, ScaffPlan displays a confirmation warning before the item is exploded. Users can disable this warning using the Don’t ask again option or manage the setting later through Advanced Options.
