ScaffPlan 2026 Compatibility:

Compatible  with SketchUp 2026

✅ Start Fresh with ScaffPlan 2026
Complete all ongoing projects in current version of SketchUp and ScaffPlan. Use SketchUp and ScaffPlan 2026 only for new projects to prevent compatibility issues.
We recommend keeping current version(s) installed alongside 2026. This allows to finish existing work without disruption while starting new jobs in the updated version.

🚧ScaffPlan Compatibility:
Models created in earlier versions of ScaffPlan cannot be opened in ScaffPlan 2026.

Release Notes

New tool

Frame and Brace

ScaffPlan for Tekla now makes Frame and Brace scaffold design faster and easier with a dedicated plugin with familiar bay-style workflow built for Brand Frames, Waco Frames.

Item Tool

Dynamic Insertion of Components

ScaffPlan for SketchUp now supports Dynamic Insertion with preview, making it faster to place scaffold items at the correct size.
Enable Dynamic Length in the settings dialog, then pick two points in the model and ScaffPlan will automatically select the closest matching component.
This works for all scaffold items, excluding Miscellaneous and Custom Items.
The placement preview has also been improved, with clearer start and end points, direction-aware labels, and the option to turn off live preview when placing complex items for a more responsive workflow.

Environment

Imperial Units Support

Improved support for Imperial units across the application.
Dimensions such as length, width, height, and other measurement-based values now consistently follow the active unit settings set in the Project Properties tab.

This update ensures that imperial unit formats are respected wherever values are displayed or entered. Dialogs and tools now read from the active unit profile, providing a more consistent experience across the application.

Common

Snapping Point Creation toolbar

ScaffPlan for SketchUp now includes a dedicated SnapPoint toolbar, allowing users to easily create snapping points directly in the model.
These SnapPoints make it easier to define accurate connection, placement, and snapping locations for ScaffPlan components.
SnapPoint support has also been added to the Custom Item and ScaffBlock tools, matching the existing Tekla workflow.
This improves modelling speed, accuracy, and consistency when placing custom scaffold items and ScaffBlocks in SketchUp.

Bay tool

2.5 m Bracings for Kwikstage

Based on user feedback the Bay tool now supports a 2.5 m bracing configuration for Kwikstage.
ScaffPlan will automatically use 2.5 m braces during bay creation.
This gives users more flexibility when modelling scaffold layouts that require 2.5 m bracing alignment.

Catalogue

Extra components

This release includes added scaffold components and catalogue updates across multiple systems:

  •  At-Pac US, AU and EU now includes the new MPBS – Multi-Purpose Beam System item family, available in both medium and high-detail shapes. Corner fillers and angular ledgers have also been added in medium and high-detail versions.
  • Additional At-Pac updates include a Jack Retainer, added under Miscellaneous Items as an Uplift Preventer, and the Guardrail Standard “Crazy Leg” component.
  • U-Layher has been updated with a new U-Ledger LW T14 1.40 m transom item, including code 2618139 and weight 5.40 kg.
  • Proscaf now includes a SafeSmart scaffolding component pack and updated component codes.
  • The Common catalogue has also been expanded with a ScaffCover group, available in medium and high-detail item versions.

Common

Warning dialog when exploding a ScaffPlan Item

ScaffPlan for SketchUp now warns users before exploding ScaffPlan items, helping prevent accidental loss of ScaffPlan metadata.
Exploded items are no longer recognised by ScaffPlan and will disappear from Gear Lists and reports, so users are now prompted with a clear Confirm / Cancel choice before continuing.
A “Don’t ask again” option is also available and can be controlled through Advanced Options.

Common

Configurable Firm folder path

ScaffPlan for SketchUp now supports a configurable distribution path instead of relying on a hard-coded path.
This gives administrators and advanced users more control over where ScaffPlan reads its distribution settings from, making deployment and environment configuration more flexible across different machines or company setups.
The distribution path can be edited in the ScaffPlan environment .ini file:
C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2026\ScaffPlan\Environment\env_ScaffPlan.ini - set XS_FIRM=C:\ScaffPlanSketchUpFirmFolder\
This update is especially useful for managed installations where ScaffPlan settings need to be adjusted or redirected without changing the application itself.
