ScaffPlan 2025 Service Pack 1 Compatibility:
✅ Compatible with Tekla Structures 2025 Service Pack 6.1:
Projects done in Tekla Structures Service Pack 3 with ScaffPlan 2025 can be opened in Tekla Structures 2025 Service Pack 6.1 with ScaffPlan 2025 Service Pack 1.
✅ Transition to Tekla and ScaffPlan 2025 from previous versions:
Existing projects should be completed in the same Tekla Structures and ScaffPlan versions they were originally created in (e.g. Tekla 2024 ScaffPlan 1.7). Do not migrate active projects to 2025 mid-project.
Use Tekla Structures 2025 Service Pack 6.1 and ScaffPlan 2025 Service Pack 1 only for new projects to avoid compatibility and model integrity risks.
Keep previous versions (e.g. Tekla 2024) installed alongside 2025 as it allows you to:
- Finish existing work without disruption
- Maintain full backward compatibility
- Safely start new projects in the updated 2025 environment
This approach ensures a smooth transition while protecting ongoing project stability.
🚧ScaffPlan Compatibility:
Models created in earlier versions of ScaffPlan, excluding ScaffPlan 2025 cannot be opened in ScaffPlan 2025 Service Pack 1.
↩️ Tekla Structures Compatibility:
Models from Tekla Structures 2020–2024 that are opened and saved in Tekla Structures 2025 are not backwards compatible. Once saved, they cannot be opened in older versions.
🔄Custom Items and ScaffBlocks:
Ensuring a smooth transition and continued workflow Custom Items and ScaffBlocks created in previous versions are compatible with ScaffPlan 2025.

| New tool |
SketchUp Model Import ![]() |
SketchUp Model Import (Full ScaffPlan Interoperability) now allows ScaffPlan models created in SketchUp to be imported directly into ScaffPlan for Tekla with no loss of intelligence, functionality, or model fidelity. All ScaffPlan logic, components, and data remain fully intact, enabling true cross-platform interoperability and faster, more consistent workflows from estimating through design and delivery. |

Notifications ![]()
|
ScaffPlan introduces pop-up Notifications communication channel designed to keep users informed about new releases, important updates, and key announcements directly inside the platform. This ensures critical information is seen at the right time, eliminating missed updates and improving awareness across teams. Notifications help users stay up to date, adopt new features faster, and get more value from every ScaffPlan release. |
Fixes:
Development Area |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Bird cage Tank Wall trace |
Bird Cage, Tank, and Wall Trace tools sometimes incorrectly reload default values for “Platform at lifts” after switching to the Bay tool and reopening the UI, ensuring previously entered values are now preserved correctly. |
Item tool |
Fixed decking exception where creating decks between transoms could fail with “Index out of range” when Infill planks were enabled and the transoms were sloped or not aligned to global X/Y, ensuring decks are now generated reliably for angled transom layouts. |
Item tool |
Fixed an issue where an exception could occur when changing a profile from the contextual toolbar while a custom workplane was active, ensuring stable behaviour and uninterrupted editing. |
Exception handling |
Fixed an issue where the Bug Report pop-up "You are not entitled to use this tool" was automatically shown to end users whenever an exception occurred, preventing unnecessary interruptions and reducing confusion about tool availability. |
Tube and Clip |
Fixed an issue where tubes and couplers creation could generate connections far from the structure when input tubes were slightly misaligned and Perpendicular connection was enabled, ensuring the correct connection is now calculated without requiring manual workaround. |
Tube and Clip |
Fixed an issue where the preview could display incorrectly when one input tube was slightly offset from the plane, ensuring the preview now accurately matches the final inserted connection. |
Drawings |
Fixed an exception that could occur when opening drawings in non-ScaffPlan environments, ensuring drawings open normally without errors. |
Drawings |
Fixed an issue where creating an unopened Blank Sheet (“Open drawing = No”) could still include the previously selected view (e.g., 3D Rendered) even when no view was selected, ensuring unopened sheets are now created without unintentionally adding an unchecked view. |
Environment |
Fixed an exception that could occur when using ScaffPlan tools in models saved on a server/network path, ensuring reliable tool execution for server-hosted projects. |
Project Information tool |
Fixed an issue where Project Info could sometimes internally revert from a selected scaffold system to another system, causing Gear List generation to fail and item detail/representation not to refresh correctly. |
