• Understand the three versions of Trimble Connect (Web, Desktop, and Mobile) and when each should be used for collaboration, model review, and onsite access.
• Learn how to publish ScaffPlan models from SketchUp to Trimble Connect, creating a cloud-based collaborative workspace for scaffold design projects.
• Set up a structured Trimble Connect project environment, including folders for scaffold models, reference models, drawings, and reports to keep project data organized.
• Upload and manage point cloud data (e57 files) in Trimble Connect to align scaffold models with real-world site conditions.
• Use model positioning and alignment tools to correctly overlay scaffold designs with reference models or point cloud scans.
• Navigate the Trimble Connect Desktop Viewer interface, including models, objects, and visibility tools for efficient model inspection and component filtering.
• Apply measurement tools and clip planes to verify scaffold clearances, inspect internal areas, and detect potential clashes within the model.
• Utilize markup tools and ToDo tasks to communicate design changes, highlight issues, and coordinate actions across project teams.
