Direct Modification Features

The Frame and Brace Bay can be modified, relocated, or repositioned directly in the model using direct modification handles and direct modification lines.

The blue dots represent editable handles, while the blue lines control the bay position and geometry. Drag the relevant handle or line to adjust the bay interactively.

The sections below explain the function of each direct modification handle and line.

To use direct modification features keep the Direct modification switch On:

Point Handlers

Direct modification handles allow the geometry to be adjusted directly in the model by dragging the blue control points.

Some Handlers have it's own contextual toolbar for extra control.

Reference line point handlers - allow to relocate the bay by dragging and dropping a point. If Bay option selected the whole bay will be moved. If Handle option selected the only end point of the bay will be moved - bay will be rotated around the point. 

End1 Inner Point Handler - allows to change the bay Length or Width by dragging and dropping the point. If Length option selected the End1 of the bay will change length while End2 remains in the position. If Width option selected the Inner side of the bay will change width while Outer side remains in position.

End2 Inner Point Handler - allows to change the bay Length only by dragging and dropping the point. When the point dragged and dropped the End2 of the bay will change length while End1 remains in the position. 

End1 Outer Point Handler - allows to change the bay Width only by dragging and dropping the point. When the point dragged and dropped the Outer side of the bay will change width while Inner remains in the position. 

Lift Point Handler - allows to create or remove deck at a lift.

Line Handlers

Direct modification lines allow the Frame and Brace Bay to be repositioned directly in the model. Drag the relevant blue line to move the corresponding section of the bay while maintaining its existing geometry and configuration.

The sections below explain the function of each direct modification line.

Height Line Handler - allows to change height of the bay by clicking inside the dimension and typing numerical value in the dimension box. To change height - click in the dimension box and type numerical value then press Enter to execute the command.
