⚠️ Important
Please note it is recommended to finalise all work in the current version of Tekla Structures and ScaffPlan you are using and start using the new version of Tekla Structures and ScaffPlan only for new jobs.

❗ Models created in Tekla Structures 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020 opened and saved in Tekla Structures 2024 are not backwards compatible.
❗ Models created in any previous version of ScaffPlan opened in ScaffPlan 1.7 might behave not as expected.
Model backup on the opening is automatically shown and allows to save a backup of the model created in a previous ScaffPlan version.

❗It is recommended to keep the current version of Tekla and ScaffPlan as installed and install Tekla 2024 Service Pack 3 and ScaffPlan 1.7 for it. It will allow to keep and run Tekla 2023 with ScaffPlan 1.6 to finish current models and run Tekla 2024 with ScaffPlan 1.7 separately starting any new jobs.

New tool

ScaffBlock

The ScaffBlock tool allows to save any custom scaffold configuration as an intelligent block and reuse the configuration with high speed and accuracy in any job reducing modelling time significantly.
From now on it is possible to save away your custom stairs configurations, shoring and propping scaffolding layouts and any other configurations to be used often in any other model.

Tube and Clip tool

Significant Enhancements

The Tube & Clip tool functionality has been significantly enhanced to bring modeling process for the tube and clip scaffold to a new level.
It is possible now to use the only one tool - the Tube and Clip tool for any scenario:

  • to form scaffold legs by two points clicked in the model (independent 2 point insertion) or
  • to add tube and fittings over the legs or other tubes (component dependent insertion by 2 items selected).
The Tube Connector tool functionality has been depreciated.

The tool now has the contextual toolbar introduced for fast options control on the fly on the insertion defining:

  • an input type - by two points(for legs) or by two components picked in the model
  • coupler types at ends
  • tube length automatically to suit the scenario or from the list of available tubes in the catalogue (insertion by number of tubes also available)
  • direction of the tube and fittings insertion - perpendicular to two components picked or free placement by 2 points for braces

Extra functionality on the contextual toolbar is now available:

  • conversion to two points to be considered after insertion
define amount of tubes in a list by available tube lengths
  • change tube joiner type
  • define joiners at ends
  • add extra clips such band and plate coupler, board retention clip, double, swivel and putlog couplers
  • define extra clips to be added by a point, component or line segment being clicked
  • directly create base plates (single or triple timber boards), head jacks, planks and toe boards
  • perform copy commands by number of copies required
  • control tube length extension at ends
  • flip(mirror) the tool over the inserted points/items
  • show inputs for the tool, dimensions and annotations if required to be checked.

Fittings added from the tool now considered as a part of the tool and might be mirrored in one go with the tool or freely repositioned along the tube.
Tubes and fittings inserted now might be freely moved to any location including out of the range of tubes it's been originally inserted.

Tubes and fittings tool now allows directly create:

  • Base Plates (including single and triple sole board options)
  • Head jacks
  • Timber planks and Toe boards.

O-Layher

Timber decking available

The Bay and the Wall trace tools now contain timber decking option to be used.

Bay Tool

Vertical Ladder Access

It is now quick and easy to add vertical ladder access to a bay using the Vertical ladder creator in the bay tool.
The vertical ladder access contains variety of options to choose:

  • define a ladder connection type: ledger, bracket, tube and clip
control ground clearance and bracket offset
  • add ladder access all the way up to the working platform or stop it at the first lift
  • define tube joiner type
  • create gates option and
  • define a bay end the ladder access will be added to.
Stairs HAKI Stairs HAKI Stair Towers has been introduced to be complementary to the tube and clip scaffold functionality as a common way of access in some regions.
Platform stair - single return
Platform stair - double return
Symmetrical stair - double return
Stair tower with double stair flights (16-Leg)

Bay Tool

Top and Bottom ends extra controls

The Top and Bottom ends of a bay now have extra options to choose.
The Top end includes following options:

  • Spigot - the default value - uses standards with spigots
  • Open -  uses open standards at the top
  • Head Jack - creates head jacks in one at the top standards
  • Base Plate - creates base plates at the top standards

The Bottom end of a bay now can be set to following options:

  • Open - removes all base plates
  • Head Jack - adds head jacks at the bottom
  • Base Plate - adds a base plate by chosen type (steel or timber)

Top and  Bottom jacks offsets now can be controlled by  the Top and Bottom extensions options respectively (a numerical value of the offset allowed to be typed).
Once top and/or bottom type of an end defined, any type of a base plate now can be directly rotated from the Bay tool dialogue.

Bay Tool

Console brackets at ends

It is now possible to create console brackets on a bay ends.

Bay tool
