How to Configure Gear List Costs

1. Open the Gear List

Open the Gear List for your scaffold model.

Double-click a cell to edit values such as:

  • Code
  • Weight
  • Cost
  • Mark

Enter the required unit price in the Cost column.

2. Filter the Component List

The Gear List may include all components from the selected scaffold system.

If required, add prices for all components in the list or follow steps below for a shorter list.

To shorten the list:

  1. Select the required components in the model.
  2. Click Show Selected Components.
  3. Enter costs for the displayed components.

Repeat this for other component groups as required.

3. Save the Setting

After entering the costs:

  1. Enter a recognisable settings name, such as your company name.
  2. Click Save.

The file is saved in the model folder under attributes subfolder of the current model folder (the model folder located at the same folder where SketchUp file is saved).

At this stage, the settings apply only to that model.

4. Make the Settings Available for All Jobs

  1. Open the model’s attributes folder.
  2. Copy the saved Gear List settings file.
  3. Go to:

C:\ScaffPlanSketchUpFirmFolder\attributes

  1. Paste the file into the folder.
  2. Restart SketchUp.

5. Load the Settings and create Gear List

When creating a new Gear List:

  1. Open the Gear List settings.
  2. Select your saved settings instead of standard.
  3. Create the Gear List.

The Gear List will include the saved unit costs and calculated total costs.
